Introduction to Automobile Service (IAS) E-Learning Program

An online program that focuses on awareness of entry-level tasks related to basic automobile service.

Designed specifically to provide introductory knowledge of basic service tasks for entry-level service personnel.

IAS Program

The IAS Program is delivered exclusively online and consists of four E-learning training modules and a separate quiz. An embedded Glossary and Safety Zone section also help to promote proper safety measures. The IAS Program was developed in response to requests from the industry for an ASE product targeting individuals whose responsibilities are concentrated in the entry-level career area. This E-learning product incorporates modules to both deliver and measure the knowledge necessary to perform basic tasks.

The target audience for this program includes prospective and entry-level personnel, as well as any service professional interested in this specialty area, including service writers and parts professionals. For those new to the industry, the IAS Program can be the first step on the path to ASE certification. Users who successfully pass the IAS quiz may print a customized certificate of completion (not an ASE certification). For more information and to register, visit the ASE Campus website.

Attention Registered myASE Users

The IAS Program runs on the ASE Campus site and is not a part of myASE. Therefore, you must choose a separate username and password for the ASE Campus site at the time you register and pay for the program. Conversely, the username and password for the ASE Campus site do not serve as a log-in for myASE. To learn more about the IAS program and to register, go to the ASE Campus website.

Make sure any pop-up blocking software is disabled. It’s possible that you may have two pop-up blockers in your browser—one that’s an integral part of Internet Explorer and a second one you may have installed separately. Be sure they’re both disabled.

Your browser’s security settings may prevent normal functionality and display of the quiz. The easiest way to correct this is to add www.asecampus.com to your trusted site’s list. Here’s how:

  1. Go to Tools>Internet Options > Security > Trusted Sites > Sites
  2. Uncheck the box, “Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone”
  3. In the field labeled, “Add this website to the zone,” enter www.asecampus.com, then click Add, then OK

IMPORTANT:You should also check any firewall that you may be using so that it allows inbound and outbound events to the ASE Campus Website.

Remember, there are software firewalls that run on your PC and you may also have a hardware firewall that's integrated into a modem or router. You will need to check the settings on any that apply. Also, some modems/routers can be set to allow/deny access to certain sites. This may be part of a parental controls setting. Make sure to check any options that either allow or deny access to specific websites.

The ASE Introduction to Automobile Service Program expires 60 days from the date of purchase. As a reminder, ASE Campus automatically sends an e-mail to the address in your profile 15 days prior to the expiration date. For assistance when this happens, send an e-mail to [email protected].
