How to Determine Which EV Test to Take
Level 1
Certificación de concienciación sobre seguridad eléctrica xEV:
Está diseñado para cualquier persona que pueda encontrarse con un VE en el lugar de trabajo. Esto incluye a una persona que realice tareas en las proximidades de vehículos de propulsión electrificada en entornos de venta, servicio, reparación y/o relacionados. - Operating (driving) an electrified propulsion vehicle.
- Performing maintenance and repairs not related to high-voltage systems or their components.
- Handling non- high-voltage components of electrified propulsion vehicles.
- Encountering electrified propulsion vehicles and/or high-voltage components of electrified propulsion vehicles while performing job-related tasks.
Level 2
xEV Technician Electrical Safety Certification:
Es un profesional de servicio, técnico o especialista que ha recibido formación eléctrica de alto voltaje, ha demostrado habilidades y conocimientos relacionados con la construcción, operación y reparación de vehículos eléctricos de alto voltaje, mantiene un área de trabajo eléctricamente segura y utiliza el equipo de protección personal (EPP) requerido. También ha recibido formación en seguridad para identificar los peligros y reducir el riesgo asociado.

- Evaluating and classifying the condition of the high-voltage battery and high-voltage electrical system.
- Isolating the voltage from the high-voltage systems and checking the isolation from the supply.
- Securing the high-voltage system against being activated.
- Re-starting the high-voltage system.
- Performing general work on de-energized high-voltage systems and components.
- Assessing risk of high-voltage vehicles that were involved in an accident.
How to Purchase and Take xEV Safety Certification Tests
For Individuals
To take the test yourself
- Register and login to the NetExam platform.
- Add xEV test(s) to your cart, checkout your cart.
- Take your test.

If purchasing vouchers for others to take the tests
- Login to your myASE account, or create a new account here.
- In the myASE portal go to the "Store" tab.
- Using the menu on the left, go to the “xEV Test Vouchers” section then click on “xEV Test Vouchers”.
- Click “Add To Cart” for whichever test(s) you want to buy vouchers. Quantities can be adjusted in the cart.
- Proceed to Checkout. Email with the voucher code(s) will be sent to the purchaser.
- The purchaser can distribute vouchers to individuals that need to take tests. Individuals receiving a voucher should create an account at https://ase.netexam.com/ to begin testing.
